AAR needs motivated, committed leaders for 2006.
Nominate yourself or someone else for director positions.
 The Association's nominating committee is looking for top candidates to fill openings for four AAR directors and two CAR directors to serve three-year terms beginning Oct. 1, 2005.
Be a leader, make a difference.
The terms of AAR Directors Jerry Boyd, Debra Green, Al Munekata and Mitch Myers expire at the end of the fiscal year, Sept. 30, 2005. Mitch Myers remains on the Board for one more year without election as immediate past president. Linda Philpott, who completed Jeff Engelstad's term this year without election, and CAR Director Carol Keller, leave their posts as their terms expire in September. New AAR and CAR directors will be elected this summer during the annual election of directors.

If you know of someone who is interested in filling these positions, please submit the name(s) on the interest form. Please feel free to submit a nomination for yourself. Nominees must be REALTOR® members in good standing and must meet the following criteria:
- Current on all dues and assessments.
- Not under suspension.
- Not associated with an real estate office that already has three or more members serving on the Board of Directors.
Nomination committee considerations
The nominating committee shall give consideration the following in making their selection of potential candidates:
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Years of real estate experience.
- Education and certification.
- Participation in association activities.
- Business acumen.
Director responsibilities
Directors serve as the governing body of the Association, establishing policy and future direction on behalf of the membership. The time commitment varies from year to year depending on current issues, future direction and program of work. Each director should expect to contribute a minimum of six hours per month.
Election of directors
The nominating committee will present a slate of candidates in the June issue of the Aurora Outlook. Ballots will be mailed to offices in early June.
