Educational opportunities abound at AAR
By David Barber, AAR President
One of the perpetual problems in our industry is that when we have time to devote to classwork and career enhancement, cash flow is at a minimum; when we have ample cash flow, time for full-day designation courses is scarce. Staff and leadership at your Aurora Association of REALTORS® have taken this problem head on, planning an education blitz for early 2010 that maximizes your end result in reasonable chunks of time and at significant savings.
Certification classes
The blitz, which began in late February with the two-day Certified Negotiations Expert (CNE) curriculum, continues in March with two classes taught by Chandra Hall. She presents the Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) certification March 8 and the REO Specialist certification course March 9.
The SFR course was very popular through the fall; it’s even more so now since NAR has waived the application fee (a $175 savings) until March 31. Since these programs are certifications (as opposed to designations), they do not have annual fees attached to them. In just one day, you add value to your service base and the acronyms to your name to prove your skill.
Designation course
Hall returns April 6 and 7 for the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) designation core course. Besides completion of this core course, the ABR has other requirements, one of which is completion of an elective class. AAR makes meeting this requirement easy, as its March 8 SFR Certification course counts. Check www.rebac.net for full requirements.
Learn now…pay later
“Great educational opportunities and just when I have the time to take classes,” you say, “but my income and cash flow are a bit challenged.” You’re not alone. So AAR staff and leadership have created a deferred education billing program that allows you take your coursework when you can devote the time, but lets you pay later, deferring payments into times when your cash flow may be stronger.
Make a quick stop into the AAR office for all the details you need to enhance your career development and earning potential now, achieving three certifications and a designation in only three months. Or call staff members at (303) 369-5549 to learn more.
Look ahead
Additionally, you can expect a cache of educational opportunities in coming months. You asked us for more relevant educational programs to help you maintain the cutting edge for your clients – we have been listening and working to satisfy your request! |
