There is a YOU in Association

Those who attended the Jan. 22 REALTOR® Update meeting at AAR will have heard this before – but in my
mind, it bears repeating. I want to stress the importance that each and every one of you has within this organization.
Our Association is designed for the benefit of all members, REALTORS® and Affiliates alike. The goal of your leadership team is to advance and enhance the impact that each of our members makes on the market and his or her chosen niche in the industry.
That being said, it is critical that you, the member, relay your comments and concerns to the leadership team so we can steer this Association in the direction for all to benefit. Your leadership team is motivated to make your membership the highest value for your dues dollar as possible, so tell us what you need to assist you with your business and give us ideas on what will make your experience as a member better and more profitable.
In addition, please consider becoming a more active part of the organization by joining a committee and helping us move this Association to a higher level. As John F. Kennedy once said, “A rising tide floats all ships.” A stronger and more active Aurora Association of REALTORS® will make all our members stronger and more profitable in the coming year.
The most frequent complaint I hear is “the same people always do everything.” Well, I challenge you to change that – GET INVOLVED! We need new blood to assume leadership roles, we need new ideas and input to make our Association stronger and better. You can become part of the new strength for the future.
As we head into spring, we have a variety of activities on the horizon and are always looking for new things to
change up the routine. Have an idea for an event? Know a speaker who could add value to our Friday morning
meeting? Get involved on the event committee or pass that great speaker’s name to the Speaker Committee.
This Association is for you and about you! Help us help you succeed!
